‘Flesh' explores the tension between the human body and its reduction to material. The project centres on the contrast between flesh as identity, body and presence, and flesh in the butchery sense, where it becomes meat. By placing human subjects within this environment, the work subtly collapses these meanings, reducing the body to form and texture.
